Power of the Human Mind

E Komo Mai!  Welcome!

The human mind is wildly powerful.  Powerful enough to discern fact from fiction; powerful enough to experience time and timelessness; powerful enough to 'fill in the blanks' that we encounter in our daily lives.  Thanks to one of our program supporters for this experiential moment in the power of the human mind.  Read on thru!

"I cdnoult blveiee taht I cluod aulacity uesdnatnrd waht I was rdgnieg.  The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid.  Aoccdrnig to rscheecarh at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosns't mttaer in waht oerdr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tinhg is taht the fsirt & lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae.  The rset can be a toatl mses & you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm.  Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a whole.  Amzanig, huh?  I awlyas tguohht slpelnig was ipmorantt!"

We can read without correct spellings, as you yourself have seen.  We can experience clarity even amid strangeness and chaos.  We can understand what we experience, even tho words may not exist to explain it all...I like to remember this little exercise in the power of the mind when i prepare to read the morning newspaper!  What is really being said here, anyway?  This is the question that offers insight to words put to paper.

Have you discovered any interesting explorations, examples of the power of the mind, dear reader?

E Ho'omaluhia Me Ka Honua!   Aloha, a.s.
